Greenpoint Getting Another Van Leeuwen

Ice cream sensation Van Leeuwen is getting a new store front on Franklin Street in Greenpoint.
Van Leeuwen began as a food truck roaming the streets of Brooklyn in 2008. The luxury, French-style ice cream grew rapidly since then, first across New York City, and now nationwide.
The company has a wide selection of vegan flavors as well as full dairy. There have also been stunt flavors like Mac and Cheese.
The new store is set to open at 136 Franklin Street, about a ten minute walk from a shop at 620 Manhattan Ave and fifteen minutes from a location at 204 Wythe Ave. Pretty soon there will be more Van Leeuwen’s than Starbucks, so its too bad the ice cream chain has stopped serving coffee.
