The long-planned redevelopment of the Key Foods on Grand Street has popped above ground.
The grocery finally closed in December of 2021 years after imminent redevelopment was announced.
The new building is planned to house 107 units of housing.
The new building replaces the one-story grocery and a surface parking lot. The new building is expected to have 72 spaces.
According to NYYIMBY, the developers grabbed $87m in financing last March.
30 percent of the units are set to be affordable.
