Ice cream store Emack & Bolio’s has opened on Grand Street.

The store celebrated its opening with an ice cream social this afternoon.

The chain of ice cream shops is centered around Brooklyn, Cape Cod, China, and Korea, with a handful of other locations in random states.

Emack & Bolio’s has undergone expansion and contraction seemingly at random. Over the summer the Yorkville location transformed into a different brand.

The previous shop at 640 Grand Street had been a convenience shop–the kind with little merchandise.
