Laundrymart finally opens in Williamsburg Houses.

It certainly took them long enough to open, with the announcement signs going up back in the spring of 2023. (Rumors are that working with NYCHA to secure retail space is at best problematic).

The location is filled with beautiful new washing and drying machines. The area had been short on laundry services for the last few years, but that’s changed recently. Bushwick Suds opened on Johnson and Bushwick Ave, Palace opened on Bushwick and Scholes, and Wash-up on Montrose at Bushwick Ave reopened after removing asbestos.

The new location hasn’t been very busy so far, but there are plenty of little flags hanging over the sidewalk.
