Tasty Bread bakery on the corner of Montrose and Manhattan has opened a sandwich shop.

The bakery fronts on Manhattan Avenue, but the sandwich shop is at 109 Montrose along the side of the building.

A bakery first opened at 131 Manhattan Avenue in December of 2021 as Panameria Bakery. The bread was great, but the hours weren’t. The bakery soon rebranded to Tasty Bakery. The hours got better, but the bread wasn’t quite as good — its still the best fresh baked bread around Montrose Avenue.

The pastries at Tasty bakery are pretty good too, and large. 109 Montrose, the coffee shop and t-shirt store, unrelated to Tasty Bakery but in the same building, also resells the pastries, and the coffee is significantly better.

The new sandwich shop uses the bakery bread for deli sandwiches.

The previous restaurant had been Nam Nam, a neighborhood Vietnamese Bahn Mi shop that closed during the pandemic.
