A small retail space adjacent to the existing restaurant is set to become a cafe by day and a private event space.

The small retail unit along South 4th Street has been slowly renovated over the last several months with intentions on launching a casual daytime space for Sandos, onigiri, and bento.

The space will also eventually be available for private parties, according to the instagram account.

The new venture is from the founders of Shalom Japan, an upscale restaurant located on the corner known for its fusion of Japanese and Jewish cuisine.
