A new bakery is set to open on Graham Avenue and Meserole Street.

From Chef Ivo Diaz, Lulla’s claims to be the city’s first Venezuelan bakery and billed as the “little sister” of Casa Ora, a Venezuelan restaurant at 148 Meserole Street.

Cosa Ora opened in November of 2019, a few months before COVID shut down the city’s restaurants. Since then, and until last week, the restaurant had an extensive outdoor dining pavilion on the street. Since Eric Adams has effectively killed outdoor dining in the city, the dining pavilion was removed. Cosa Ora also reconfigured the interior of the restaurant to have more seats.

While there’s no date posted yet, a sign promises followers of their instagram account a free coffee, to be claimed before October 31.

Lulla’s Bakery has been under construction for months adapting a raw space with a custom bar and outfitting bathrooms. The restaurant will be the first tenant in the corner retail space.
