Pre-owned clothing store Other People’s Clothes is getting a Williamsburg location just in time for summer.

The store has two other locations in Bushwick and Ridgewood. The first location opened in Ridgewood in 2020, “by three New Yorkers who created the business through the lens of art, music, and fashion.”

The store announced plans about a month ago on Instagram and have been working on building out the retail space.

The shop offers buy / sell / trade for clothing with a focus on designers.

Located across the street from the Williamsburg post office on the corner of S. 4th and Marcy Avenue, the new store will take a large corner retail space on the ground floor of The Dime. The newly constructed tower merges a historic Bank building that faces Havemeyer and extends to Marcy Avenue with a tower and ground floor retail.

The building opened in 2020, and the retail space previously housed a climbing gym. The end of the climbing gym fad combined with the pandemic likely did that business in and the space had been vacant for quite some time. Renovations include removing the climbing walls.
