Nyla Cafe Brings Coffee and Pastry to Hewes Street

A new cafe has opened at the corner of Hewes and S. 4th Street.
Nyla Cafe offers a mix of pastries and empanadas, as well as egg sandwiches and tartines. The usual espresso drinks are on the menu as well.
The cozy space offers wifi and a handful of tables to sit at.
For now the cafe serves coffee and a limited morning menu with hours from 8am to 4pm. However, there are plans for a liquor license and later hours to go with it. They also have plans for a full night time menu.
The shop serves Devoción brand coffee.
Overall this is a great addition to the neighborhood. It will be a particularly good addition if they serve coffee late night alongside wine — too few establishments in New York offer both espresso and wine.
