A new laundromat is set to open on Bushwick Avenue in the former Khim’s Millennium Market.

The new awning looks great, and promises wash and fold services with pick-up and delivery.

The area right around Montrose Ave had been short on laundromats at one point. Wash Up Laundromat on Montrose Ave was closed for an extended period of time after finding asbestos during routine maintenance, and Super Laundromat on Scholes and Bushwick had closed for a time before it was replaced with Palace Laundromat. Both of those locations are now operational again.

The large storefront had once been a 24/7 grocery store with an emphasis on organic products but never recovered from the pandemic. A change in ownership didn’t help and it shuttered for good in December 2021.
