Construction of William Sheridan Playground has begun.
The $8m renovation of the park began in March and is expected to last through March of 2023.
The renovated playground will included a synthetic turf with walking track, water features for playing, and refurbished basketball court.
The park is between S 1st and Grand Street at Wyeth Avenue.
The renovation is part of a broader $109m park renovation plan.
Mayor Eric Adams had promised to increase park funding, but in his first budget failed to do that.
