Tis the season for Christmas tree buying.
The yearly tradition of blocking off the sidewalks to sell Christmas trees is upon us.
Tree stands usually operate 24 hours a day once they get going just in case you need an emergency Christmas tree at 3am — and because its more ore less impossible to set up and take down Christmas tree stands nightly. For a full history of New York City’s Christmas tree stand saga, 6sqft has a history going back to the 1850s.
