Mo’s General opened at 620 Lorimer Street offering pizza and provisions.
The new shop opened in September selling square slices of pizza, several sandwiches, coffee, and a selection of pantry goods.
The shop has indoor seating as well as a large outdoor dining shed.
Check out their website for more information about their menu.
Mo’s wants to be become a destination known for their slices according to Grubstreet. Their philosophy is that New York City is a city of pizza slices, not pies, for which they might be right.
Mo’s is open from 7am to 9pm from Wednesday to Sunday.
Ordering from the street window is easy.
The eggplant parm sandwich was made to order. Check out that melty mozzarella cheese in this cross section:
Outdoor seating at Mo’s is neat and tidy.
Mo’s replaces a long time staple, Jerry’s Lorimer Market. Jerry Virtuoso operated the former butcher, grocer, and sandwich shop. He took over in 2007 from his father who operated the butcher shop since the 1970s. The shop had been known for meatball sandwiches, but closed shortly after the pandemic began.
