The long shuttered store front that had been home to the bagel store has a new tenant.

Simply Nova appears to be the upscale bagel store you always wanted. A sign promises a standard selection of bagel flavors, bialys, and bread, as well as gluten free bagels.

Once known for the famous rainbow bagel, The Bagel Store on Metropolitan Avenue closed in the summer of 2019 after a nearly $900k tax debt led to state seizure of the business. The store front has been empty ever since, a the whole neighborhood has been missing bagels.
